Artist Development Consultant
Many artists know how to create music, but far fewer know how to build a sustainable career around it. As an Artist Development Consultant, I help musicians identify the gaps in their promotion, networking, branding, content creation, and audience growth strategies. I evaluate what an artist is currently doing, determine what opportunities they may be missing, and provide practical guidance on how to improve their visibility and professional development.
My role is not simply to hold artists accountable, but to help them understand what actions will have the greatest impact on their growth. This may include advising on social media strategy, YouTube content, networking opportunities, collaborations, outreach to music channels and influencers, fan engagement, branding, release planning, and content marketing. I help artists develop realistic action plans, prioritize tasks, and learn the skills needed to promote themselves effectively.
Rather than acting as a traditional manager who performs all of the work on an artist's behalf, I teach artists how to build the systems, habits, and industry knowledge necessary to advance their careers independently. Whether an artist is struggling to gain exposure, build an audience, develop industry relationships, or create a consistent promotional strategy, I provide personalized guidance, feedback, and direction designed to turn talent into momentum.
I have worked with artists in Canada, the USA, and Japan but have a strong Toronto Canadian focus

Independent Artist Development Consultant
I work with emerging and independent artists on a low weekly or monthly fee, combined with a performance-based back-end arrangement as their career grows. My focus is on bridging a critical gap in the music industry: structured artist development at the early stage of a career.
Traditional managers are typically incentivized to step in once an artist is already generating meaningful revenue. As a result, early-stage artists are often left without guidance on how to build momentum, structure their promotion, or develop the habits required for long-term success.
My role is to fill that gap.
I work directly with artists to identify what they are not yet doing—and what will actually move their career forward. This includes building practical weekly action plans, developing content strategies for platforms like YouTube and Instagram, improving outreach to playlists, blogs, and channels, and teaching the systems behind consistent self-promotion and audience growth.
Rather than replacing a manager, my work prepares artists to work with an effective one. I help them become the type of artist that managers, labels, and industry partners actively seek out—because the foundation is already built, the audience is growing, and the career is structured.
In short: I help independent artists turn talent into traction, and traction into opportunity.
